Gillig Trolley Bus

Gillig Trolley Bus

Metro's newest electric trolley bus is made by Gillig, which built the bus less propulsion. Metro removed the Rand Tronics DC chopper propulsion from the AM General trolley buses and shipped them to Alstom for rebuilding. Metro then installed the rebuilt electric propulsion in the new Gillig trolley bus. This fleet also features Kiepe current collection equipment and new, very readable, LED destination signs.
