From Denny Onto Wall

The #5 cruises drizzle
from graying, alabaster skies
past the Pink Elephant Car Wash sign.
The trunk pulses neon as
it spins slowly-an Art Deco Buddha
whose electric eyes have seen it all,
from the hump backed Hudsons
to the sleek Acuras.

John Gorski has a B.A. in English from the University of Cincinatti and has lived in Seattle for twenty years. His poetry has appeared in Paper Boat, Seattle Poems by Seattle Poets and Switched on Gutenberg.
