1999 Poetry on Buses Competition

1999 poetry competition logo

The theme of 1999's Poetry Bus Project was "Paint Me a Poem: A Canvas of Words." Poets were asked to create poems that illustrated their unique identity. Let the reader know about yourself and who you are. The goal was to put together a collection of poems honoring the broad range of cultural influences and ethnic traditions that enrich our region. Accompanying each poem is a short biographical statement by the poet. Graphic designer Tomas Suarez created a strong visual identity for the Poetry Bus cards and printed collection.
