“Take off 40 pounds in three weeks” a sign cries out from the corner,
Evangelists line the streets waiting to convert every passerby,
Surgeons live off making people fake,
Every magazine explains a new makeover,
The media provides a stereotype of how to live my life.
Why can’t I just be me?
But...
How can I find myself,
When everything around me is reaching out to change me?
