How to Get There from Here
Follow the tumbleweeds down washboard roads. Elbow through bunch grass and head for the tulees
where fields lie broken open. Men and women tough as strung barbed wire. Children tired of playing.
Only tarpaper forgives mistakes. No birds left. Miles of silos emptied even after DDT fractured every speckled shell.
