Muddy Puddles
Somedays just after the rain Murky, brown puddles litter streets
Infinitely deep like bottomless wells One step and you’d sink sink sink and I’ll pass
It’s been five years Of there’s no Santa Claus no fairies
I don’t want to believe My only resistance is a step around that puddle.
