Once slim as a whale's bone, she danced early summer radiance,
curved and fragrant as a rose. Past full-bodied summer,
her hips, breasts and Buddha belly sagged into fall, spiders weaving
hair white. Accenting her face with jewelry and silk scarves, she's
armed against the coming bony winter.
