2007 Poetry on Buses Competition

Every day, thousands of people ride the bus to commute to work, visit family, go to school, travel to special events, return home. The bus is a unique public space - never the same/always the same, mundane/alive with character - a space where, for a short while, all of us share a common direction.

Poetry on Buses presents poetry from our community, written by that person across the aisle, that kid in the back, or the published poet - written by you and printed on the placards found right above the bus seats. Who knows, that poem up there may be the innermost dreams of the person sitting next to you. What is the poetry inside of you?
