Driver training for the program

All of Metro Transit's 2,500 drivers received training about the importance of calling out stops. Drivers will be reminded that Metro's policy is to announce major intersections, destination points and transfer points with other fixed routes.

So drivers will know which stops should be announced, Metro Transit has prepared a stop announcement card at the transit base where the route begins.

People in bus shelter saying calling out stops is required by federal Americans with Disabilities Act. Blind person saying "I don't want special treatment, just the help I need.
