Route 42
Feb. 9 thru May 30, 2008
During periods of ice and snow, regular service on Route 42 may be altered in one of two ways depending on the severity of the conditions. Under limited snow/ice conditions, regular service will operate to Beacon Ave S & 59th Ave S via Beacon Ave S, not serving S Leo St, 56th Ave S, S Avon St and 59th Ave S. Under more severe conditions, regular service will terminate at Rainier Ave S & S Henderson St. From this point, a chained shuttle bus will operate serving portions of the Route 7 to S Prentice St and then continue to 51st Ave S & Renton Ave S to serve the remainder of the 42 route to the terminal at Beacon Ave S & S Leo St. Inbound the shuttle will operate regular route to 51st Ave S & Renton Ave S, then operate via Renton Ave S, S Henderson St to Rainier Ave S. Rainier Ave S between Renton Ave S and S Barton Place will not be served.
