Route 56
May 31 thru Sept. 19, 2008
During periods of ice and snow, Route 57 will not operate on SW Genesee St, 55th Ave SW, SW Charlestown St, or 49th Ave SW. To downtown, board Route 51 via regular route, and transfer to route 56 or 57 at California Ave SW & SW Admiral Way. From downtown, board regular service and transfer to Route 51 at California Ave SW & SW Alaska St.
When extreme ice and snow conditions occur, service on routes 56 and 57 could be severely disrupted or curtailed. Please plan accordingly.

Also, listen to local radio stations for reports of traffic and road conditions. Adverse weather results in a high number of calls to Metro's Rider Information Office, so you may experience an extended on-hold waiting period or receive a busy signal. We'll do our best to serve you, but we appreciate your patience when adverse weather impacts Metro service.
