Information about King County Metro Transit fare increase

Notice for individuals with a Jan-Mar 2008 3-month pass: Those who use this pass will not be required to pay the additional fare during the month of March even though the fare increase will be in effect. A 25-cent increase in fares will be applied to most Metro cash fare and pass categories in 2008.
The fare changes will be phased in during the first half of 2008:
- Metro's Adult fares will increase on March 1, 2008. Read the Special Fare Alert. [.PDF; 36kb] for complete information about cash fare and pass prices effective on March 1.
- Metro's Youth and Senior/Disabled fare and pass prices, and the Access monthly pass price will increase on July 1, 2008.
Effective July 1, 2008 the following revisions will take effect:

Three Month Puget Pass
- To assist passengers and drivers in the transition to the new fares, 3-month
passes for February-March-April 2008 were not sold.
- Beginning with March-April-May the new 3-month passes will have face values of $1.75 for $189.00 and $2.25 for $243.00.
