Downtown Seattle Tunnel Operation Information
Route 217 operates in the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel when travelling outbound to North Issaquah. The 1.3-mile, five-station tunnel (see downtown map of tunnel) is open for service Monday through Saturday from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday from 6 a.m. to midnight. When the tunnel is closed during normal "tunnel-open" hours, Route 217 will serve Stewart St at 4th Ave and operate south on Second Ave; serving stops at Stewart, University, Spring and Cherry streets; on Washington at 4th Ave S and on 5th Ave S at S Jackson St.
