Regional Transit News - July 2000

New and revised bus service begins in September

  • New Sound Transit routes
  • Revised Community Transit routes
  • Revised and discontinued Metro Transit routes

New Sound Transit and revised Community Transit and King County Metro service begins this fall. Sound Transit is introducing four express bus routes, and the two local transit agencies are revising service in response to those new routes. The new and revised service will begin in September 2000.

Sound Transit, Community Transit, Everett Transit, King County Metro and Pierce Transit worked together as partners to make these service changes. The changes are based on advice and comment from residents, bus riders, community organizations and local jurisdictions. The goal is to reduce duplication of service and help the region move toward a seamless, integrated transit system.
