Regional Transit News - SR-522 bus service
If you live or work in Woodinville, Bothell, Kenmore, Lake Forest Park, Shoreline, Northeast Seattle or Downtown... Better bus service is on the way
Sound Transit and Metro have been looking at ways to improve all-day bus service along the SR-522 corridor. Our transit planners have been riding the 41, 307, 308, 312, 341, 342 and 372 buses to the ends of the route and back. We've driven all the routes between downtown and your communities so we could estimate travel times. We held public meetings for residents of Lake City, Lake Forest Park, Shoreline, Bothell, Kenmore and Woodinville. We mailed questionnaires to 68,000 homes. We tabulated all of your answers. We assembled a group of community members into a Sounding Board to help us. We studied travel patterns, worked with local cities to take into account plans for future road and transit facility improvements, and consulted with the University of Washington about transportation needs at the campuses in Bothell and Seattle.
