Metro Transit Special Rider Alert, February 2007

Below is a numerical listing of affected routes throughout Metro's service area. Revisions will go into effect on Saturday, Feb. 10. Pick up a new PURPLE timetable for complete route and schedule information.

These routes will return to regular operation over Fremont Bridge after the bridge reopens, currently anticipated to be mid-2007.

Revise schedules to provide better connections with Route 105 at the Renton Transit Center and Route 169 at the South Renton Park & Ride. Two new northbound trips arriving at 3rd Ave & Union St at 9:21 a.m. and 9:50 a.m.; one new southbound trip leaving 3rd Ave & Union St at 2:11 p.m.

One new PM southbound trip from 3rd Ave & Pike St leaving at 4:41 p.m. Please note that this new trip will end at Monroe Ave NE & NE 4th St. Schedules for earlier southbound trips have been adjusted.

Revised schedules to provide better connections at Kent Station/Transit Center between all routes.

152, 915

Route 152 will continue to operate a new morning trip between Auburn Station and downtown Seattle leaving Auburn Station at 5:35 a.m.

Route 915 will continue to operate an earlier weekday trip from Enumclaw to Auburn Station, arriving at 5:30 a.m. This arrival time will provide a five-minute window for connection with Route 152 to Seattle.

New downtown Seattle terminal on Blanchard St between 6th and 7th avenues. This terminal change is necessary due to construction of the South Lake Union Streetcar line. With this terminal change, the last stop for northbound 174 will now be at 4th Ave & Stewart St. The first southbound stop will be Stewart St & 4th Ave.

Add early morning trips on weekends leaving 2nd Ave & Pike St at 4:45 a.m. and 6:20 a.m.

Add one morning trip and one afternoon trip, which results in revised departure and arrival times for almost all trips.

230 Routing has been revised to use the new NE 128th St overpass of I-405 in the Totem Lake area. Please note that the ramp project is delayed and will not open until a few weeks after the February service change. Route 230 will operate on its current routing until the project is complete. Routing has also been revised between the Kirkland Transit Center and Carillon Point to serve State St and Lakeview Dr NE instead of Kirkland Ave, Lake St, and Lake Washington Blvd NE.

230, 237, 238, 252, 257, 277, 291, 311, 342, 644, 935 and 952

Revised routing will take effect for some routes in the Totem Lake area to serve the new NE 128th St freeway station and direct-access ramps when they open.

Please watch for traffic revisions in this area. Until the overpass and ramps open, these routes will continue on current routing.

Increase service frequency on Sunday to every 30 minutes throughout most of the day.

Add one northbound trip starting from Issaquah P&R at 9:10 a.m. and two southbound trips leaving Overlake at 5:30 p.m. and 7:40 p.m.

Begin 15-minute service frequency earlier on weekdays starting at 1:14 p.m. between the University District and Eastgate Park & Ride. These four new trips do not continue on to Issaquah.
