Link Light Rail: Martin Luther King Jr Way S
Routes 42 & 48 Service Announcement

Due to the Sound Transit Link Light Rail Project, routes 42 and 48 will be affected.

Every effort is being made to maintain reliable, accessible bus service in this area during this project.

Bus service in the affected corridor operates as normally as possible, but may sometimes be delayed due to construction or traffic. Plan your trip accordingly and allow plenty of time for possible Schedule delays.

Buses operate the routing posted in their timetables, but may occasionally be rerouted temporarily in response to construction needs. Rider Alerts & Reroute information will be posted in Metro Online if there are planned or known reroutes.

  • Check the Route 42 and Route 48 timetables in Metro Online for Rider Alerts about rerouted service.
  • Check 'Updates' in Metro Online for service exceptions listed by route number.

Bus Stops are clearly marked, but may occasionally be relocated. As much notice as possible will be given at the Stop for Bus Stop relocations.

  • Watch for Rider Alerts at Bus Stops.
  • Please only wait for bus service at posted Bus Stops.

Always use extreme caution when traveling in or near construction areas.

(Note: the Trip Planner does not give you details about regular service that's being rerouted. Check for reroutes by looking for the Rider Alert button on the Metro Online timetable page for the route.)
