Construction is underway to upgrade the 53rd Avenue Pump Station in West Seattle and is expected to take about 20 months to complete (through summer 2009). This underground facility is located at Alki Avenue Southwest and 53rd Avenue Southwest.
Four bus stops affecting Route 37 and Route 53 are temporarily closed during the construction:
- Southbound Alki Avenue SW & 53rd Avenue SW
Board or exit Route 37 at one of these stops:
- Southbound Alki Avenue SW & 2104 Address, or
- Southbound Alki Avenue SW & 55th Avenue SW.
- Northbound Alki Avenue SW & 53rd Avenue SW
Board or exit routes 37 & 53 at one of these stops:
- Northbound Alki Avenue SW & 57th Avenue SW, or
- Northbound Alki Avenue SW & Bonair Dr SW.
- Northbound Alki Avenue SW & 55th Avenue SW
Board or exit routes 37 & 53 at one of these stops:
- Northbound Alki Avenue SW & 57th Avenue SW, or
- Northbound Alki Avenue SW & Bonair Dr SW.
- Southbound Alki Avenue SW & Bonair Dr SW
Board or exit Route 37 at one of these stops:
- Southbound Alki Avenue SW & 2104 Address, or
- Southbound Alki Avenue SW & 55th Avenue SW.
