Emerald Downs Service

Metro Transit no longer provides premium Emerald Downs service. For information about getting to the races, please select one of the following:

Regularly Scheduled Metro Service

Metro provides regularly scheduled service to 12th St NE & D St NE, near the Auburn Park & Ride.

  • Use Metro's online Trip Planner by clicking on 12th St NE & D St NE - this link will autofill the destination point as "12th St NE & D St NE" in the Trip Planner. Following the tips provided, enter your point of origin and the time you would like to leave or arrive, and the Trip Planner will generate your itinerary.
  • You can also call Metro Rider Information at 206-553-3000, TTY users call 206-684-1739, for trip planning assistance.
  • At 12th St NE & D St NE board the free shuttle bus provided by Emerald Downs. If you are coming from points north of Auburn on Route 180, exit the bus at the stop southbound on D Street NE just north of 12th Street NE. (Note: Trip Planner results describe this stop as D St NE & 15th St NE.)
  • Cross D Street to wait for the shuttle at the regular Metro bus stop northbound on D Street NE just north of 12th Street NE - look for the "Emerald Downs Shuttle" sign at the stop as well. If you are arriving from downtown Auburn, Route 180 will drop you off at this stop.
  • Pay regular Metro fare on all regularly scheduled Metro service.
